Error 1606:Could not access network location \Startup

When we try to install/uninstall Adobe Acrobat, always appear pop up error with message “Error 1606:Could not access network location \Startup”. Same pop up appear also when we double click My Document folder, My Computer, Printer folder, etc. System ask us to insatall Adobe Acrobat.

To solve this problem, please open registry with regedit command and backup the registry. After finish look for key folder “InstallRoot” under HKEY_CURRENT_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Office\{xxxxx}, check “Path” key. If not exist add “Path” key with type REG_SZ and value “C:\rogram Files\Microsoft Office\Office” for MS Office 2000 and “C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11” for MS Office 2003.

Note: {xxxxx} is MS Office application such Word, Excell, PowerPoint, etc.

It tested and working properly

FINALLY! I’ve been looking all over the web to find an answer and this is the solution that worked! I have some Office 2003 & 2007 programs installed, and although I have Word 2007 installed, there was an InstallRoot directory under the Office11 settings, so I created a Path value pointing to the 2007 value of Office12 and it worked. (btw you have some typos in your post)
